Migration
Migrate from Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop
Change platform without losing your catalogue, your customers or your search rankings. We bring over what matters, put the redirects in place, and you sign off before the domain switches. Migration is included in every plan.
What we bring over
- Products: variants, prices, stock, photos, descriptions. Imported from your export, then the first 100 products entered by hand and proofread.
- Customers: accounts, addresses, history. Passwords never transfer between platforms; your customers get an invitation to choose a new one, which is also a good moment to announce the new shop.
- Past orders: so the history stays available.
- Redirects: every old product, category and page address points to its new one.
- Newsletter subscribers: with their consent.
All of it is included in the setup, whichever plan you choose. The one case billed separately: a catalogue of several thousand products with data to clean up, quoted before we start.
How it goes, in seven steps
Scoping
Your current platform, how many products, which addresses bring traffic, your payment and shipping accounts.
Export and import
Catalogue, customers, orders. You hand us your export; we do the rest.
Preparation
Your Opustack shop takes shape: identity, content, languages, payments connected in your name.
Redirects
Old addresses to new ones, one by one, checked.
Review
You test everything on a temporary address. Your old shop stays online and keeps selling.
Switch
When you sign off, and only then, the domain points to the new shop. A few minutes, with no downtime.
After launch
404 checks, sitemap submission, ad tracking verification, first report.
Your search rankings
It is the question everyone asks, and it is the right one. Without redirects, a shop that changes platform loses its rankings overnight. With them, it keeps them: every page that mattered sends visitors to its new equivalent, Google follows, and the traffic carries on. We watch for errors in the weeks that follow and hand you the list of redirects we put in place.
The timeline
It depends on the size of the catalogue and how clean the export is. We give you a firm date after the first conversation, and the switch only happens once you have signed off. Nobody rushes you.
Depending on where you are coming from
From Shopify
The export is clean and complete. You are probably on Shopify Payments; we open a payment account in your name during the migration. If your domain was bought through Shopify, we transfer it before the switch.
From WooCommerce
The export depends on the extensions installed; we check it during scoping. It is the migration we do most often, and usually the most relieved: no more updates that break things, no more label plugin that stopped working.
From PrestaShop
Catalogue and customers export well; modules do not transfer, so we replace them with what the platform does natively.
What stays yours
Your domain, in your name. Your payment account, in your name, at your provider’s public rates. Your data, exportable at any time from your dashboard, in open formats. Your shop, hosted in the European Union.
